Hello everyone! 

My name is Mrs Genovese, and I am so excited to tell you all that I am the new music teacher here at Greenwich Catholic School! I teach every student at GCS Music, including the early learning classes.

A little bit about me! I have my bachelors in Music, concentration Classical Voice from Western Connecticut State University. During my time there I had the opportunity to  travel to Salzburg Austria, performing in various opera houses, and masterclasses. I also performed in 8 major operas during this time. My staring roles included, Mrs. Splinter in "The Tenderland"; Olga in "The Merry Widow; The Mother in "Amahl and the Night Visitors"; and The Duchess of Plaza Toro in “The Gondoliers”. I have also competed and placed in various Music Competitions including; 3rd place for the New England Regional NATS competition, Lower college. 

I also have my masters degree in Music Education, concentration in Classical Voice from the University of Bridgeport. During my graduate degree I had an internship for Danbury Public Schools. Where I had various roles to perform. These included temporary music teacher, where i was able to execute the 5th grade graduation performance.

I have taught choir, orchestra, band and general music to grades kindergarten-eighth grade before starting my journey here at GCS.  

Before starting at Greenwich Catholic School, I worked as a music teacher for Stamford Public Schools! This is where I taught orchestra to 4th and 5th grade, choir to 4th grade, and general music to grades kindergarten through 5th. Before starting this position I was also a long term substitute in Stamford for the Band and General Music Teachers in one of the middle schools.
